Beyond its title sponsorship of the TCS New York City Marathon, TCS is the creator of the race’s official mobile app, available in both the Apple and Google Play stores. Now entering the fourth year of our partnership, we continue to collaborate with New York Road Runners to make the TCS New York City Marathon the most technologically advanced and socially engaged marathon experience for runners, fans and families alike. In short, an experience that will be a memory forever.
The 2017 TCS New York City Marathon race app provided even more exciting, race-specific features for runners and their support community to keep track of the event. New this year:
The iOS version of the app was ranked as the ‘#1 free sports app’ and ‘#1 free app’ in the Apple Store on race day for the third consecutive year.
The TCS New York City Marathon mobile app was downloaded a record 334,000 times (most ever for the TCS NYC Marathon or any other marathon), up from 317,000 downloads in 2016.
