1. What is the TCS Summit?

The TCS Summit is an annual senior leadership engagement event that Tata Consultancy Services hosts in Europe.

Each year, over 200 top executives, including the CEOs, Chairmen, and CXOs of leading European companies – primarily Global 500, FTSE 100, CAC 40, DAX 30 firms – attend the Europe Summit. Joining these leading industry executives are Tata Group Chairman Mr. Cyrus Mistry, TCS CEO Mr. Chandrasekaran, Europe President Mr. Surya Kant as well as the TCS senior global leadership team.

Previously, the Europe Summit has been hosted in: Cannes (2013), Rome (2012), Brussels (2011), Paris (2010), Amsterdam (2009), Cologne (2008), Nice (2007), and Maastricht (2006).

Our ninth annual TCS Summit will be held from October 8th to 10th, 2014, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Arts in Barcelona.

2. Where should I fly into?

The Barcelona El Prat Airport is approximately a 15 minute drive from the Hotel Arts, Barcelona, where the TCS Summit will take place. The airport offers easy connectivity, with direct flights to several cities in Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia.

The preferred train station for the TCS Summit is Barcelona-Sants, which is approximately a 15 minute drive from the Hotel Arts Barcelona.

3. Will TCS provide transfers?

TCS will provide complimentary transfers from the Barcelona El Prat Airport or Barcelona-Sants Train Station to the Hotel Arts in Barcelona, from 8th – 10th October 2014.

When you fly in on the 8th or 9th October, you will be met by TCS representatives who will direct you to your private transfer to the hotel. Look out for the ‘TCS Summit Welcoming Committee’ beyond baggage claim in the Arrivals hall.

Return transfers are available from the Hotel Arts Barcelona to Barcelona El Prat Airport or Barcelona-Sants Train Station on the 9th or 10th October.

Full details will be supplied with your Welcome kit.

4. Who is invited to the TCS Summit 2014?

The TCS Summit is an invitation only event for our clients. Exclusive non-transferable invitations are sent to senior executives.

5. How can I register for the event?

Registrations will open in July. You will receive an email with a personalised link, which will allow you to register on our website. If you need any assistance with registration, please contact the TCS event team by email: queries@tcssummit.eu or by telephone: + 44 20 8232 7284. If you are keen to attend the TCS Summit, we encourage you to register at the earliest. As in past years, we expect to reach capacity shortly after registrations open. After this, we will accept names on our waiting list, extending invitations only if slots become available due to cancellations.

6. What does it cost to attend the TCS Summit?

There is no fee to attend the TCS Summit. You are responsible only for air travel to and from Barcelona, and ground transportation if your travel plans fall outside TCS’ airport transfer service options. TCS will cover your hotel room charges for the nights of Wednesday 8th October and Thursday 9th October. If you choose to extend your stay beyond those nights, we will be happy to facilitate your stay extension request (non complimentary). An extension can be requested on the registration site.

7. Can I attend part of the event?

We hope that you can join us for the entire duration of the event. However, you are welcome to attend as much of the TCS Summit as your schedule permits.

8. Hotel Arts Barcelona Accommodation Extensions

Accommodation will be provided for the Summit on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th October. The cost for the Deluxe room with breakfast will be 285 euros (excluding local taxes).

Should you wish to extend your stay before or after these dates this can be arranged, subject to the Hotel’s availability. You will need to complete the Hotel Arts extension form as part of your registration process.

9. What shall I wear for the Fitness, Networking and Partner Activities?

Optional Fitness Activities

Guests will be provided with a sports t-shirt. Guests are to wear their own shorts and comfortable trainers.

 

Networking Activities

Exclusive Football Clinic with Michael Owen: Appropriate shorts, t-shirt and comfortable trainers are recommended.

Gaudi Cultural Tour: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Catamaran Sailing: Suitable clothing for being on-board the Catamaran. Flat shoes should be worn for this activity.

Real Club de Golf el Prat: Metal spikes are not allowed. Only tailored knee-length shorts are permitted. T-Shirts are not allowed. It is prohibited to wear bathing trunks, running or tennis shorts, jeans and sleeveless shirts and playing without a shirt. Men’s shirts must have collars and long or short sleeves. Ladies are requested not to wear bikini tops.

The Wine Experience: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

 

Partner Activities

Traditional Spanish Flamenco: Comfortable clothes are recommended. Costume wardrobe and shoes will be provided upon arrival.

Cultural and Shopping Experience: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
