Region by Region: Mapping the Rise of a Customer-Centric Culture

“No land mass left behind” could be the slogan of the digital transformation. It’s now estimated that half of the planet’s population has access to the connectivity necessary to tap into a network. But the pace of the transition is hardly uniform; digitization does not suddenly change the way everyone lives and works, although it can seem that way in retrospect. Its spread and scope are so colossal – with an ever-growing number of devices and sensors spewing streams of unstructured data – that companies face a daunting challenge to coordinate the individual efforts. Integrating the technologies may eventually require extensive organizational restructuring.
