Now in the second year of our partnership, we continue to collaborate with New York Road Runners to make the TCS New York City Marathon the most technologically advanced and socially engaged marathon experience for runners, fans and families alike. In short, an experience that will be a memory forever.

The 2015 TCS New York City Marathon race app provides even more exciting, race-specific features for runners and their support community to keep track of the event. New this year is a pre-event personalized race time predictor; an enhanced course map – complete with MTA route information – to track up to 10 runners and plan where to see or meet them; an interactive Expo map; and a direct donation option for our official youth fitness partner, Mighty Milers.

csr TCS is deeply committed to its CSR program in the U.S. and Canada, designed to make a significant impact in the local communities where its employees live and work. In 2014 alone, more than 11,423 employees in the North America volunteered 46,650 hours to pressing address societal issues in the areas of health and education. And specific to addressing the STEM skills gap, TCS has actively led or partnered with the following programs.

TCS goIT Program – provides students with in-school IT career workshops and parent and teacher orientations aimed at getting students interested in IT careers. Since its launch in 2009, goIT has engaged more than 8,800 U.S. and Canadian middle and high school students, driving a 70% increase in interest pursuing STEM related degrees. As a result, in 2015, goIT has expanded from 12 to 27 cities, with a particular eye on serving many underserved communities and inspiring more minorities and girls with role model volunteers.

TCS gained further respect from the national government, non-profit, industry, and educational groups across the continent as a leading proponent for developing sustainable STEM programs, as a founding partner or lead tech platform provider for MillionWomenMentors, STEMConnector®, NPower, and the government backed US2020.
